OLDER CATS DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP

We are constantly under pressure due to many older cats needing loving and long-term homes.

Improving diets and veterinary care mean that cats are living into their late teens and early twenties, so we always have many older cats in care.

We are desperate to home cats over the age of 9 or 10 years, who are really only middle-aged. We also have very elderly cats needing homes. There is a waiting list of approximately 3 months for cats to come into our care for rehoming, but we prioritise those who are stray or injured. Many of the cats awaiting admission are at least 10 years old.

To help more cats we need your help. Could you:-
offer a permanent home to a cat over the age of 9 or 10 years or a very elderly but healthy cat?
offer a home to an older cat on long-term medication? (we can help with vets bills in these cases)
sponsor a cat, from just a couple of pounds per month, and receive regular photographs and updates?

Older cats are laid back, gentle and very affectionate, make great companions and form strong bonds with children as they are so much more tolerant than their younger counterparts. These cats have years ahead of them and their lives could be transformed with your help. Your life too would be greatly enriched by adopting one.

If you can offer a home to an older cat please contact Karen on 01296 738558 (local rate) or click here to send us a message. Details of most of our cats can be seen under ‘Cats Awaiting Homes’  with their name in Green.
