Those of you who visit the car boot at MK Bowl on a Sunday morning must have seen our dedicated fundraisers Jacquie and David Lowe. They are there most weeks and have raised thousands of pounds for the branch. Their enthusiasm and energy is amazing and it's easy to forget just how much they do as they just get on with it, quietly and efficiently! If you are at the car boot any Sunday go and say hello, and maybe purchase the odd cat related gift or two. Also, if you have any bric-a-brac they might be able to sell then please contact us through the website and we'll pass your details onto them. They will arrange to collect the items from you. The branch owes a great deal to Jacquie and David and we want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to both of them. Keep up the good work! |

Appeal for help at this year’s Spring Fayre
We have now finally found a suitable venue for this year’s branch Spring
Fayre. Karen and I went on abit of a reconnaissance mission a couple of Saturday’s ago and came across the United Reform Church in Newport
Pagnell. It is right in the middle of the High Street, has ample parking and seems to be just right as a venue for the Spring
Fayre.
Now for the appeal: since, in previous years, Julie Hudson and myself pretty much arranged the branch fayres between us and Julie has now resigned from the branch, I will need as much help as I can get to make this year’s event a success. The response from the volunteers I have spoken to so far has been terrific and I have to say a big thank you to anyone who has already offered help.
One of our big successes at past branch events has been the home-made cake and tea stall. This year we are also hoping to have a small home produce stall – could anyone bake a cake for us?
We are also hoping to have a small plant stall so, again, if anyone has any cuttings or maybe grows plants from seeds and might be able to donate a few that we could sell, that would be terrific
As in previous years, we would welcome any donations of saleable Bric-a-Brac – do you have any unwanted Christmas presents lurking around at home which we might be able to sell?
In addition, if anyone wants to come and help out on the day, please let me know. Nikki and I (a.k.a. Chaos and Mayhem) will be trying desperately not to cause total carnage on the day and Nikki is even going to wear a cat costume (kindly hired by Win Skipper) for the event so it will be worth coming just to see that!
If you can help in any way at all, do please get in touch
